Juicing… but why?

Juicing…. but why?

This is a long post. It’s personal to me and having written it I wasn’t sure if i was going to share it.. but sometimes being raw and real helps others… so here it is.. but there is a happy ending.

I have always loved juicing… well to be fair from my mid 20s I’ve loved juicing…
But back then, I would juice just to get into an outfit for an event or for a holiday or just to trim down a bit. Juicing was for a quick fix and not part of my life and regime and something I did daily… But being a Personal Trainer, I have always been pretty good with my diet and exercise! Well you would hope! Ha ha. But I didn’t juice daily as I felt I had enough fruit and vegetables and salads and enough of the right stuff to be healthy.. how wrong was I.

Fast forward to my mid/ late 30s I found myself very sick .. every day I was in pain. I had gynaecological problems and I was constantly ‘sore’. It was so bad I could not wear my normal Lycra workout gear. It was so bad i had to wear lose clothing all the time. It was so bad i was sore all the time. I was stressed out and miserable as it was affecting my daily life and my marriage.

The doctors classed my condition as ‘vulvodynia’ and something that was not explainable but probably Caused by stress. And the problem is this is then a vicious cycle and you are stressed out trying to get rid of the horrible pain. Anyway I tried all the creams and potions in the world and went to every Different specialist you can imagine and nothing really helped..

It was at this point that my marriage started breaking down and after a couple of very hard years we decided it was best we split up. Going through a break up is always hard but with a little one too – even harder. The stress was unimaginable and my condition flared up even more that I was living in skirts and shorts! Grim..

I finally decided having cut out various things from my diet that maybe I should start juicing again more. I did a 5 day juice fast which all home made and I started to feel a bit better. Wow. I decided to start adding more homemade fresh juices into my daily diet and before I knew it my condition was starting to become manageable and improving. It was at this point that I decided I wanted to study more about juicing and when I realised that Jason Vale was running a professional Natural Juice Therapy Practitoner course I jumped on board…

The course was amazing. I have learnt so much about juicing and the healing power of plants and vegetables. The course was so comprehensive. I mean how much is there you need to know to know about juicing! But the course was like a huge revision lesson in biology with regards to the body and what it needs to work effectively and happily and with regards to how juices and fruits and vegetables can heal…

The course inspired me to do so much reading and learning around the subject and what have I learnt…
That plant power really can heal a lot of our lifestyle diseases…
If you are stressed out and you need to improve your health then plant power and juicing is one of the first places I would start..

16 months on from starting my course- I am now a fully qualified Juice Therapist  Practitioner. Hurrah.. i am now a passionate and avid fan of juicing being added into your daily diet so that you get the plethora or vitamins and minerals and enzymes required to help your body work magnificently for you.

I am now pain free and juicing has turned my health around, well very Occasionally I have a flare up but as soon as I increase my juices it goes! Hurrah..

I love the power of plants and this is why I’m passionate about juicing and why I’ve been running juice workshops to inspire others.
