Health and wellbeing

Having looked at improving health and wellbeing over the last two days by increasing your water consumption and Improving your diet to a cleaner And leaner diet with plenty of raw fruits and vegetables, today let’s look at improving your health and wellbeing – by moving more.

Exercising is something I am super passionate about because it’s such a huge part of my life. I have been in the health and fitness industry now for just over 20 years! Wow a super duper long time and I am still as passionate about health and fitness now- as I was then. Exercise and nutrition is all about being healthy and having fab physical and emotional wellbeing and hence feeling And looking good too.

And in my opinion there is still nothing more fab than doing a good workout. But what is a good workout? A good workout is firstly something that gets your heart beating faster and hence challenging and improving your cardiovascular system. It’s secondly, something that can potentially work large muscles groups In the body to help shape and tone you up and thirdly – more Importantly – it’s something that you love doing and enjoy! Yippee.

So what do you enjoy doing doing?

Do you like working and sweating it out hard in a gym?
Going to a gym class?
Following a fitness dvd? I always love the Davina ones still.
Going for a run or a jog?
Going for a fabulous power walk – ( a great workout – maybe take some hand weights to up the game! ) Dancing in your lounge to cheesy music ( something Holly and I love to do weekly.. even 6 year olds can get on board) Boxing and sparring – always a fav of mine and a good fun challenging workout.
Doing Outdoor activities, such as cycling or horse riding.
Doing outdoor water sports
Going swimming or going to aqua aerobics Yoga or Pilates Strength and resistance training with bands or weights and kettlebells Rebounding – fantastic to get the lymph system working.

Pick the ones that fill you with joy and happiness and then just start doing more of them. Give yourself A weekly goal to do a minimum of 2-3 fab sessions a week.

Just get your body moving, be kind to your body and mind – and it will be kind back To you.

Have a super Sunday
