Dehydrated apple – yummy!

One of my fav snacks and so tasty!

Dehydrated apples are so 😋. Dried apples can be used in so many ways, including crumbled on morning porridge oats or as a sweet snack right out of the jar or bowl!

Drying or dehydrating apples is a method of food preservation that removes most of the moisture from the fruit. This makes the apples shelf stable, and they can be stored long-term in airtight containers in a cool, dark location.

There are several ways to dry apples. The easiest way is using a food dehydrator, but you can also try air-drying and using your oven to dehydrate apples.

We brought a dehydrator a couple of years ago and we like to use it as the the apples are only heated slightly so you don’t lose all the goodness from them like you would from using an oven.

We also like to put Kale in our dehydrator and add tahini paste on it. Wow wow wow. Tasty.

Of course we still like a tasty biscuit once in a while too 😂 but it’s all about balance ⚖️. And I find by adding more and more nutritional foods into our daily regime stops us reaching for processed stuff as much!
