Game changer morning routine!

I want to share something that has been such a game-changer for me and might help you too, especially during this stage of life. As we navigate perimenopause, our bodies, energy levels, and moods can shift a lot. I want to let you know that I get it, and I’m right there with you.

I’m generally someone who feels happy and energised in the mornings; one of those “up and at ’em” types. But I’ll be honest, there are days when I don’t feel as chipper, especially since I have been going through the perimenopause. Maybe I didn’t sleep well the night before, or my body is just feeling a little off. But even on those days, I’ve learned that small, nurturing habits can help set me up for a much better day.
So, I thought I’d share a simple morning routine that’s helped me, and I believe it could make a big difference for you, too.
HERE’S MY GO-TO MORNING ROUTINE
1. Start with Movement
Whether it’s 5-10 minutes of light exercise, a brisk walk, dancing around your living room, jumping on the rebounder, or even some gentle stretches, I’ve found that getting my body moving, no matter how sluggish I might feel at first, really makes a difference. Even during perimenopause, moving your body supports your energy, helps with mood, and keeps everything in balance.
2. Positive Affirmations
While I’m moving, I repeat positive mantras. It’s amazing how much the right words can shift my mindset. When I’m feeling low on energy, affirmations can really help me refocus on my health and happiness. Here are some of my favourites:
• Every day in every way, I am stronger and stronger.
• Every day in every way, I am healthier and happier.
• I am 100% healthy and full of energy.
• I honour my body and listen to its needs.
• Today is a wonderful day
3. Be Kind to Yourself
Perimenopause can bring its ups and downs, and some mornings will naturally be harder than others. The important thing is to meet those days with kindness. Don’t be hard on yourself if you’re not feeling your best. Just show up with love, even if it’s a slower start.
This routine has helped me set the tone for a positive and productive day, and I believe it can help you, too. It’s all about creating a foundation of self-care, no matter how you’re feeling in the moment.
I’d love to hear what works for you in the mornings, or if you try this routine, let me know how it feels!
Wishing you wonderful day ahead
Lots of love Davinia xxx
