Get back on track
05/01/2011
Most people have a binge over the Christmas time as its difficult often not too, especially when there are mince pies, chocolates and nuts at arm’s length away. But now it’s time to get back on track....
So how are you going to do this? Apart from cutting back on all the junk food and maybe slightly cutting back on your portion sizes , It’s time to calorie burn and hence shed some of that Christmas body fat by doing some cardiovascular exercises. So over the next few weeks i want you to try out some of these different cardiovascular workouts in the comfort of your own home. Do ten mins of the following works outs every other day..
Step – ups – on your stairs – keep up the pace and step-up as quickly and energetically as you can. Change your leading foot after one minute. Take it at your own level.
Shadow boxing – a fun way to work off steam and accomplish a cardio workout at the same time. Jab, punch, left hook, right hook, etc, just make sure your body is moving in large rhythmic motions to get the best possible workout.
Skipping- an activity that can make you feel young at heart and burn some serious calories. If you find it to challenging to jump non-stop then take a ten second break every ten seconds until your endurance improves.
Also make sure you walk on alternate days too for at least 30 minutes – a fast walk.
By increasing your cardiovascular workouts you will start to burn more body fat... go for it. Please call me if you want personal training to help you get back on track this year....
