Exercise is great for your health

Aerobic exercise means to exercise with oxygen. Aerobic exercise is fantastic for your health and fitness. During aerobic exercise you repeatedly move large muscles in your arms, legs and hips. Aerobic fitness, also called cardiovascular fitness, refers to the ability of your heart, blood vessels and lungs (cardiovascular system) to supply fuel during sustained physical exercise. When you are aerobically fit, your body more efficiently takes in and uses oxygen to sustain movement more easily. Aerobic exercise will make you feel and look fantastic. It will help you to shed any excess body fat and will increase your natural feel-good chemicals – endorphins.
Benefits of exercise:
- Exercise will increase the oxygen and blood supply to your muscles and cells, thereby making sure that you give your cells what they need.
- By doing aerobic exercise, your lungs will process more air with less effort and thus will work more efficiently.
- Your heart will become stronger, pumping more blood in fewer strokes, which means that it does not have to work as hard.
- Exercise increases the diameter and number of small blood vessels. To get more oxygen to your muscles, small blood vessels (capillaries) dilate and carry away waste products, such as carbon dioxide and lactic acid. Over time, as you become fit, more capillaries will actually develop in the muscle and provide for more efficient oxygen delivery and waste removal.
- Exercise also helps you eat, digest better and also eliminate waste and toxins better.
- Releases endorphins, which are your body’s natural painkillers and ‘feel good’ chemicals.
- Exercise will help you sleep better and will make you feel better emotionally and mentally.
- Aerobic exercise can help you to lose or maintain a healthy weight.
- Manage your stress levels.
